From natural language processing to Prolog

摘要:

I will relate the story of Prolog after my PhD thesis in Grenoble (France) in 1967:

1) About the implementation of the W-grammars formalism and the definition and implementation of the Q-systems for the automatic English-French translation. This happened in Montreal (Canada).

2) About the creation of the first Prolog in order to process a text in French in an interactive mode: statements, questions, answers. This happened in Marseille (France).

3) About the successive developments: Prolog II, Prolog III, and Prolog IV.
